The Governator just handed down his ruling and there will be no clemency for "Tookie" Williams. Really, that's the way that it should be. Court after court has upheld the decision of the original jury and without there being any evidence that he didn't commit the crimes, it would be wrong for Schwarzenegger to have granted clemency. Also, any outcome other than death would undermine the validity of the work that Williams has done over the past 20 years while he has been imprisoned. It would send a message that killing people is okay, as long as you are good in prison. That is not a message that should be sent out.

Brace for riots.
